Installation Guide for Pattern # 18 
Compression Fitting the Pickets (5 piece pattern ) Pattern 18 in Red Mahogany, Terra Cotta and Oro Cotta coloured cork Apply the adhesive to the substrate as per the standard instructions. Starting the pattern:
2. Always work the pattern alignment from the "inside" of the picket - the outside will fall into place. Focus on making the inside seam tight without gaps. 3. Start with a "Framer's Square" and place the outsides of the 2 pickets to the Frame. Align the inside bevels of the pickets so you have a tight fit. 
4. Pinch this interior inside bevel into the adhesive (just the corner) 5. Adjust the pickets so that the inside bevel stays tight and the outsides of the pickets are square to the Framer's Square. The pickets are flexible. Don't set them into the adhesive fully yet. 6. Install the center square tile of the pattern. Align it to the interior corner and tight against the inside edges of the first 2 pickets. 7. Take new picket #3, lift tip of picket #2 and align the inside bevels to each other and to the square tile. The inside lengths of the pickets should be aligned to the length of the edge of the square tile. Align these lengths even if you create a slight hump in the center of the picket. This is the compression fitting. Then pinch in place. 8. Take the remaining picket (#4) and repeat the step above, making sure the inside bevels of picket 3 -4 and 4 -1 are tight. Pinch down these interior corners. 
9. Pinch together and down all 4 outside corners and be sure that the tips of the pickets meet up on the outside edges also. 10. There may be some slight humps in the middle of the pickets which is good. Double check the alignment of all your edges and bevels and then push down the center of the pickets by rolling your hands from the edges toward the center. This compresses the pickets inward and sets them into the floor adhesive. 11. Hit with a rubber mallet to secure all tiles.
